Linda Garmon

Linda Garmon   Linda and her friend Mary (of over 30 years) started quilting in 1993. The love of quilting got them interested in starting a Quilt Pattern business in 2004. Deciding to produce a pattern came out of necessity – as it usually does – when you can’t find an easier way to do something you really want to do. Thus, 2 Sisters Quilting Creations was born. They started with one pattern and now have 4 on the market. In January 2006, due to health reasons, Mary has had to retire from the company. Linda has decided to keep the 2 Sisters name and run the company alone. Her husband, Frank, has offered much support, and even attends shows with her.

Linda has enjoyed giving classes at the Myrtle Creek Methodist Church on her patterns as well as any other pattern people show an interest in.

In coordination with Sonja’s Sewing Basket in Sutherlin, Linda helps coordinate two 3-day retreats a year – in February and October at the Kellogg Springs Camp. Attendance averages 17-20 ladies and all have a great time.

Linda travels around to various quilt shops in Oregon and gives classes on all her patterns. She also vendors at Quilt Shows in Oregon and California, and was again at the Umpqua Valley Quilt Guild’s Roseburg show in April. She has vendored at many quilt shows, which include Milwaukee, Klamath Falls, Lakeview, Medford, Florence Yreka and Crescent City, and will be vendoring at the Sisters Quilt Show this July.

2 Sisters Quilting Creations Logo   Linda is a member of the Umpqua Valley Quilters Guild in Roseburg, OR. Her love of quilting seems to grow stronger the more she shares her ideas. She enjoys sharing, and by sharing learns from her peers as well. After all, isn’t that what quilting is all about?
